If you are reading this Prologue, you may have noticed the recent colorful design to Memoirs of the Courageous. You may have noticed, there are now two categories or books and rainbow is everywhere! Welcome to Book 2: Color.
Let me introduce you to the new Beltane area of my life.
In chapter 9, of Book One, labeled Discovery. I had suggested the idea of taking a pause and seeing the world around us. To experience its color. This started because a friend of mine had pointed out that on my journey to self-improvement, I had become so focused on my own improvement, that I had failed to enjoy the world around me.
Color theory is significant in new age healing and various forms of medical science. I was surprised to find that even light therapy can help those with specific mental and physical conditions. In earth-based religions, the colors of stones are thought to affect the mind because the color of the stone is within a particular wavelength of light.
Upon meditating during the festival of Beltaine, I had thought I wanted to bring more love, compassion, and positivity into my life. As for the name of this book being titled: Colors. I wanted to express a recent phenomenon in my life recently, which is once you focus on various aspects of healing, colors actually appear more vibrant. Greens pop and are refreshing, Deep blues relax and provide tranquility. Purples set the mood and take you to a place of incredible bliss.
Seeing the little things such as colors have shown me to lesson the reigns of my life and take it slow. Find more of myself, and enjoy my interests, such as anime, music, art, reading, playing video games, and even finding new things to play and do.
Colors have shown me who I truly am. In fact, I have changed the colors of my desktop to colors, I would have never thought of before. I am happy to re-experience the joys that the color white has because of its ability to be all of the colors in the electromagnetic spectrum of light. I am joyous in my knowledge to recognize the various colors in a room, or in nature around me. I finally feel as if I have my heart back after it has been missing for so long.
So with each Chapter of this book, I will discuss the world of color around us and encourage you to enjoy life, and the fantastic events that unfold on you're own journey. Maybe I will even name each chapter after a color that fits the mood and experience. Stay tuned, and don't forget each section of my books on my page you can even comment by signing up, or also contact me through the contact tab and tell me about you're experiencing. I would love to hear about them. As we are all connected by a silver web of human experience.
Bless it Be!
