Ever wonder why the color white is referred to as purity or why light is said to be white? No, it is not social racism or oppression. We are not even going to touch that today.
White is the color most associated with healing rituals because white light is made up of all the colors within the visible electromagnetic spectrum. Since every color is just a different wavelength of energy in the visible frequency. White is all, and life, while it's counterpart black, which absorbs al color or energy into it, was used to shield from negativity. White is not all good, and black is not all evil, they just have different uses, but I digress.
In my family's history, healers wore white clothing while, an accent color of their choice usually a green, purple, gold or another personal color was chosen.
My spiritual reflection has always worn white, with accents of gold, silver, purple, and caribbean blue.
During a recent time of self-reflection, while walking home. I had realized I see myself as a reflection of life. I produce new beginnings. I can use the color white to manifest whatever I need or want into my life. This spiritual reflection shows me I am everything I need and not just one thing or another. I do not have to conform to one archetype to be who I want and what is needed.
To realize that everything you ever needed in already within you or is possible. We often become so focused on one aspect of our selves, we forget the other parts of our personality.. It is time to realize that the various parts of our selves are just as valid as the primary personality we display and able to unlock new parts of us, because we realize the potential is there. The complexity of the human soul is incredible.
White is also the color of life, and some would argue that if we ourselves are life, are we all connected. We are a part of the world rather than it's observer.
In some earth-based religions, there is a belief that we are all connected through a silver thread that forms a web around us. A freeing idea don't you think. To realize that because we are a part of life that we are all connected? Realizing that I am a form of life and linked to those around me, sparked a fantastic concept. What I do matters.
Yes, what I do, the energy I put out, the words I say and the life I live is affecting those around me. I am connected to people who don't even know me yet via this silver thread, and those close to me, are impacted even more. This is a fantastic discovery for someone who once may have felt insignificant among the world around him at one point or another.Rather than viewing myself as a single part of the world, I am connected to the world. It also means I am never truly alone in this world, and those even who are upset at me, or I have done harm too are still unified with the world around me.
Crazy how these concepts of self from an inter and introspective view point can make our world view change and bring us to a perspective that our world is bigger than we have ever known. It is mind blowing to realize, just two things can change you'r world.
